March 10, 2016 Bible Study — Be Faithful to God As God Is Faithful to Us

I am using the daily Bible reading schedule from “The Bible.net” for my daily Bible reading. I had been using One Year Bible Online, but it was time for a change.

Today, I am reading and commenting on Deuteronomy 32-34.

In this passage Moses teaches the Israelites a song which encourages them to remember God’s wondrous acts. The song that while God is faithful and does no wrong, the same cannot be said for us. Despite the many great things which God has done for us, we turn from Him and look to other gods, gods which are not really gods at all. When we do this God will not rescue us from the consequences of our actions. On the other hand, when we put our trust in God, and faithfully serve only Him, our actions will lead to better consequences and God will intervene to bring us good things. The enemies of God’s people are fools who rely on a source of strength which cannot supply strength. Let us rely on God, who can truly provide us with the strength to face our troubles.
